Fire Compartmentation

The principal of Compartmentation is to contain any outbreak of fire in the room / compartment, for a set period of time, allowing the property to be evacuated safely.

Increasingly Fire Risk Assessors are looking at ‘service trunkings’ that go up through a property and ‘service transits’ that go through walls in a property.  This normally includes holes in walls & ceilings, wiring, pipework and vent ducts.

There are a wide range of products and applications that are available that will enable the property to achieve compliance. However, choosing and the fitting of these products is a specialist job, requiring specialist knowledge.
